So I'm powering through editing Luke and Suzanne's wedding at the Jim Henson Co. in Los Angeles. But I not only had Coco my 2nd shooter on this baby, but I also brought in a THIRD shooter -- my husband, Aaron. So I've NEVER had so many photos to edit in my life. Plus the fact that I've never been busier in my life than in the months after shooting this wedding. (Wedding season is killer!) So here is a sneak peak of some of my favorite shots that I've edited so far...
Charlie Chaplin + wedding dress = amazing
Mom helping with the dress.
Oh and did I mention that they had matching bride and groom muppets? Yeah, what kind of muppet wedding would this be without muppets!? And Suzanne had the "health insurance heart" made as a surprise for Luke. So... SURPRISE LUKE! :)
I could do a post on their centerpieces alone. Each one had a different nerdy/movie/pop-culture reference with corresponding photos of the two of them in character.
The bridal party.
Oh yeah, I also rented this RIDICULOUS fisheye lens. So be looking forward to more funky fisheye photos, using it for the dancing was my favorite.
The ceremony begins...
The WE DID IT! moment alone.
Their favors were ring pops and customized dice.
The ring pops were a real hit.
They had an In & Out truck for their dinner!
Their wedding cake was based on the battle scene on Hoth in Star Wars with the biggest freaking AT-AT I've ever seen. And if you look closely, Luke modified the cake knife to have a light saber handle...
I also shot some of my favorite first dance photos EVAR.
The Jim Henson Co. in full swing.
Stay tuned for more photos! Until then, here's a video of the Luke and Suzanne muppets singing the Beatles...
Luke and Suzanne turned the screening room into a place for their guests to play Beatles Rock Band -- silliness ensued.
Oh and as an added bonus, here are some goofy photos of the Finleys...
Aaron fits right in amongst the company of Muppets.
Me at the wedding, always the professional.

MUPPETS!!!! *gasp* Jason & I recently found out about the Design-Your-Own-Muppet thing and have definite plans about getting them on our next trip to New York
That was AWESOME!
I agree, that was AWESOME!
SO FUCKING AMAZING! Every single photo is gold!
You cannot see it, but I am currently flailing around like Kermit in a fit of happiness. We are so psyched to see these, the photos are incredible and we absolutely loved having you and Coco and Aaron there!
And in case I haven't said it enough recently, YOU ARE THE BEST!
Oh, I love these pictures! My favorites are the first dance, and the one after "in full swing". The colors are so beautiful!
Of course, I love the one of the muppets with Aaron too, that goes without saying!!
Oh, and MAKE-Your-Own-Muppets? Why have I not heard of this?? So cool!!!!
This is my FAVORITE WEDDING EVER.
ZOMG! Where did she get the health insurance heart??
Definitely one of the BEST WEDDINGS EVAR!
*flailflailflail*
Oh my Gosh... I LOVE THIS WEDDING!!
Hey! The heath insurance heart was purchased at Reform School in Echo Park (I'm 99% sure...it was from one of that batch of stores around Reform School...memory is fuzzy as it was purchased over a year ago). Hope this helps!
Hey Sara and Suzanne! Look what I found on Etsy: http://is.gd/eV3zQ looks like she makes those hearts!
This is one of the best weddings ever!
Question for the bride: Where did the dress come from? Did you make it? I love the blue at the bottom and the polka dots! So great!
Sorry Greta, seriously belated reply to your comment- the dress is Stephanie James Couture, she does amazing tea length dresses with colored crinolines, I just hemmed the dress to expose the blue!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS AMAZING WEDDING? Pictures are awesome too. Wow! You really captured the fun and funky spirit of this couple and their special day. Talk about rainbow connection :)
Hope you don;t mind if I link back from my blog next week (I'm highlighting muppet projects...this wedding is too rad not to blog about!)
Of course not! Link away! It was, indeed, one of the greatest weddings of all times. ;)
I know it's been a while since this post, but I am hoping someone can help me. I am trying to get Bride and Groom muppets, but FAO Schwartz does not have those outfits. Any tips on where I can have them made?? Somewhere that ships to Canada would be ideal.
Thanks!!
Oh, by "those outfits" I mean a wedding dress. ;)
i thing that the best wedding planner can makes our wedding perfect and according to our dream and many wedding companies are there that can provide the best wedding packages....
